I don’t now if – Cary Briel

with 2 comments

I don’t know if
your tooth-clenched pen
exacerbates your click, click
indifference,
but I will have words with
the silly women.
The blank stares
at sports scores and uh-huhs
belong no more
to the lore of woman,
nor to the apathy of man.

  1. oh i love this one! especially teeth-clenched. you remind me of a line i wrote back in like 7th grade during a creative writing exercise that stuck with me for years but i’e never found the right poem for it “teeth marks that think” it was a poem about chewing on my pencil :)

  2. I love that! I’m sure there is a perfect poem waiting for that perfect line! :)
